The Pull Toward Something New
4 sessions to orient yourself to a new path.
It’s different for all of us—the desire to change up the path we’re on.
Sometimes it’s burnout from doing the same work over and over. Sometimes it’s a lack of a bigger why. Sometimes it’s the frustration of feeling stuck or craving the freedom to be more of yourself. Sometimes life shakes everything up—a new baby, a divorce, losing a loved one, or an empty nest—that makes you reconsider what’s important.
At the very beginning stages of an idea or business, there’s no blueprint, no reference points, no certainty. That’s why doubt can freeze us in place. Too many options.
But, the great news is that a blank slate is molded through choice—yes, we really are that powerful!
Movement comes from knowing who you are, what truly matters, and believing in what’s possible right now. You don’t have to build your entire vision overnight—growth happens one step at a time.
When I think about the early stages of something new, the main focus is to build proof of resonance—first with yourself, and then with others. I like to orient to the process of growth through these four dimensions:
Craft: What strengths and experiences do you want to leverage?
Sometimes growth is about building on existing skills. Other times, it’s a move to honor your passions and creativity, exploring what’s there to build upon. This could mean experimenting with a project, testing a new approach, or simply giving yourself permission to play.
Clarity: Do you know what people truly need? How to structure your offer or pricing?
Many creatives and professionals have inspiring visions but aren’t sure what commitment or risk looks like yet. Clarity is about translating your perspective into offerings that land with others, using the resources you have to work with.
Capacity: Do you have the systems and boundaries to support your energy?
When you’ve spent years operating inside structures that weren’t yours, creating your own can feel disorienting. Growth in capacity is about building rhythms, routines, and practices that help you navigate your energy and decisions with confidence.
Visibility: Are you comfortable sharing your ideas, offers, and point of view?
Growth invites you to put your work into the world—sharing publicly, networking, navigating discovery calls, and collaborating with others.
Over time, these dimensions form patterns that create a map—but at first, it’s easy to feel lost.
When I first started in the vintage market, I had merchant skills but limited understanding of how to buy and sell. I learned the craft by traveling to antique fairs around the country with my antique-loving dad, clarified my offer as I sold (experimenting with styles, decades, themes, bridal), and built systems to manage one-of-a-kind inventory as I went. Visibility came through collaborating on photoshoots, coffee dates with other creatives, and pitching to press.
This “learn as you go” type of approach is what I share with my clients. Together, let’s build from what you’ve got—your ideas, skills, curiosities, experiences.
My 1:1 Discover a New Path container is designed for the early stages, to help you orient to a new path, build confidence, and clarify what’s possible depending on where you’re coming from.
I’ve worked with people stepping into something new in different ways: those switching industries, like lawyers moving into activism; those ready to leverage their existing skills, like educators creating specialized learning businesses; and full-time professionals looking to pivot, from tech execs and real estate pros to designers exploring new creative outlets.
The common thread? They all had a willingness to engage with what they want with curiosity and honesty.
How it works: 4 × 75-minute sessions across 2 months
Session 1: A foundational Human Design reading to reconnect with your superpowers, creative process, decision making style, and natural energetic rhythms.
Sessions 2–3: Strategic exploration around your vision, values, and purpose. We’ll map potential ways to share your perspective and creativity with the world, identify the people and resources that can support you, and refine your offers or services.
Session 4: Create a map for the next six months around what to prioritize, focus on, and explore.
I’m here to help you trust yourself to digest your ideas and experiences into wisdom you can act on. After two months, the goal is to feel rooted in your values and confident in your direction.
